Indeed.

I should fess up to why yesterday's post was, shall we say a bit curt, blunt. Well truth be told i'd just discovered that my landlord hasn't been taking the rent for possibly a couple of months - which wouldn't be so bad but I didn't notice before as other bills have taken the funds. So if you think BC is in a financial mess, its gloriously floating in funds compared to me.
So I was less than happy yesterday, it looks like my holiday to Sweden is toast along with any further home renovation. Maybe it's time to call a halt to the experiment of living off my writing - i've survived 3 years but tbh the stress of hoping I can cover the bills each month is starting to grate.

Anyway, that's my conundrum to solve.

So moving along, on the back of that i'm pulling the plug on the Dorset weekend - it's no longer in the budget, sorry if you were thinking of going along. Maybe things will turn around sufficiently to do something in 2020.

Next up - writing. Well i'm about to start writing for the day - I got an extra chapter out after Saturdays ride and I know where the next couple are going and indeed where the main storyline is going into the next arc. I will have the first part book out on Wednesday come hell or high water! I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it, i've used a slightly different style to give it a more stand alone vibe but tried to keep the usual sort of cadence going.

And so onto riding. I actually had a couple of nice rides Thursday and Saturday, On Thursday I did a 'flat' ride out into Nottinghamshire with a loop taking in Laxton. I mention that as those on a previous Gabycon may remember the place from our Southwell ride. It's a unique place being the last village in the UK using the Medieval open field system - fields are allocated by a 'sheriff' each year to the farmers - well worth a visit if you arein the area.
Then on Saturday I did a slightly hillier ride across two Pennine passes, The Snake and Woodhead. It was a steady ride with the tea stop at the famous spotty Bank View cafe at Langsett.

And so looking forward - i'll be in the Dales this next weekend riding so there won't be a posting on Sunday.

Well that's about it, now to do that scribbling!

Hey, but not much boosts your mood like a good bike ride.
As a long time flatlander though, I think I'll "pass" on those hilly bits.

"Reach for the sun."

I am sorry that you need to set Sweden on the waiting list. It would have been nice to meeting you here in my country. SO I will have to de the best of my visit to Dernau instead. probably in the second week of July. I have still not found the Bond Castle even if I think I have walked almost all the streets there are in this pleasant town. Wishing you all the best on or off the bike for this summer dear Maddy.
Ginnie in Uppsala where we once had a bike factory, But that is all gone since many years.
