not made up!

But we'll get to that in a bit. First though, lets catch up on the week.

Thursday had a forecast of late afternoon drizzle so although it was a bit grey I set off for my ride hoping to get back before the rain. The only problem was that no one had given the timetable to the rain gods, as a result, when it started raining well before lunch I was already committed. The only redeeming factor was that it wasn't cold or too windy, not that it made it any less unpleasant, I was pretty much soaked to the bra by the time I got back.

Friday, well I had writing to catch up with so I spent the day pounding the keyboard!

So to Saturday, a pleasant forecast if a little blowey had me set off for a Severn loop, up to Stroud, Gloucester then down the west bank of the river to the Bridge and back. It was really quite nice, lunch near the river then a good stretch of tail wind to Chepstow and back to base. My last bike ride of August topped 100 miles and 1400m of climbing, which means I reached my 1000 mile target for the month and pushed my year total to 8000 miles and has me nearly 1400 miles ahead of target for the year which I'm quite pleased about. It has taken a toll on the bike, I've got a new tyre, bar tape and pedal cleats on order which will hopefully see me through into the autumn.

Today has been more writing, I finally got the chapter finished which means, drum roll please, the next volume of book 26 is up on Kindle! So, if you want to read the latest instalment to the Gaby verse look for Gaby - On The Edge Part 3, ASIN B08H1CJV2H which should be available any time now (i'll post a direct link asap).

So that was my excuse, but I've also posted for you Airport, chapter 27 of Summer Girl and All Change, chapter 3 of Avoidance.

So that's it for today, take care,
Madeline Anafrid
