to be a habit!

Anyway, here we are.

Its been an odd week, what with the Bank holiday on Monday.

I didn't really do much on Monday, a walk for some shopping but that was about it.

Tuesday had a half decent forecast, warm, sunny and low wind speeds so I set out for a longer ride, out into Wiltshire. It was nice to not be bothered by the little bit of breeze and even the stepped ascent up to then past Hackpen White Horse to The Ridgeway (often claimed as the oldest road in Europe). Then it was a nice ride down through the Marlborough Downs to the town of that name, real Marlboro Country, where I stopped for my sandwich.

Refreshed, I set off for the return, over the hill to the Vale of Pewsey then a loop past Devizes to Trowbridge before returning through Bath to claim 1300m and 165km for the day.

The bad news is that all the windy riding previously has left me with a sort of sprained neck, not very comfortable or conducive to getting a good night's sleep. I hope no-one has experience of it but imagine being kicked repeatedly in the neck and shoulders, yup, feels like that but without the bruises or kicking! I'm pretty sure its not been helped by long periods hunched over the keyboard so today I spent some of my limited finances on a proper computer/desk chair, I can now sit at a better height and angle in reasonable comfort.

I've posted the next Summer Girl chapter, Gone, Gaby, Gone for your amusement , more on Sunday.

And just a reminder that the next part of On The Edge, book 26 in the series, is now available on Kindle. Click on the cover to go direct to Amazon for your copy today!

If you've missed parts one and two, now is a great time to catch up with at least ten minutes reading!
