I'm pretty sure just about everyone knows the title comes from the first season theme to the anime "Magic Knight Rayearth". I based the mood of the main character on the lyrics, specifically to the English translation made for the US Sega Saturn version by Working Designs.

The original screenplay version (I lost it when mistakenly deleting a flash drive years ago) was a bit more magical and dealt with an ability to fly...but, I'm going to ratchet that back and give it a more real world approach.

The original premise:
When I first thought of it, it dealt with a bit of magic, in the form of a bracelet that, somehow...I never really figured it out...burned itself into his wrist, which allowed him to fly after a short run. He uses this to his advantage as the flight powers make others lighter, so the squad (he is still a cheerleader in this version too) members can do some impressive stunt work. He also uses his ability to scare a few bullies by flying past in a ghost face mask and a fake scythe. In the end, he learns the bracelet's power works off a connection between the owner and the one who loves him the most

The chapter titles are based on songs by Paul McCartney.

But let me know if the magical aspect should remain.

Is to stay as real world as you can. I have nothing against magical stories, and in fact many of my favorites have a magical theme - but I think you can make a really good story from this without getting too far into magic.

Either way I will be looking forward to reading it, but I do think this could be an awesome story without the magical aspect.
