Irony

Irony can be described as an incongruity between what is expected and what actually occurs.

On the left side of the screen this morning is a message discussing the apparent demise of Storysite. On the right side is the display of contributions to Hatbox.

First of all -- Storysite has been "gone" before and seems to come back every time.

But more to the point of irony -- Big Closet has a perpetual funding problem, even though it enjoys many times the visitors now that it had in the past. One would think that when FM went down for months it would have opened eyes . . . or when Sapphire quit making updates . . . or with all the problems at Storysite. The logical response would be a swell in financial support for BC.

The irony is in this expected response not occurring.

I've set up a monthly contribution through Amazon.com. It was and is painless, and the rewards from having this site here are worth every penny.

I too have set up a regular contribution through Amazon. If most regular users of BC/TS would do this, Erin would have an easier time (and we would be assured that the site will stay available.

I contribute until it hurts

with everything I do for BCTS. I help Erin out financially with the spare change I have and with cheering on our authors with Contests and such. If only I could win the Powerball or Mega Millions! :D

Then BCTS would be financially worry free.
