Fighting back against my black mood

Well, after I vented here, I decided that I wanted to start to figure out how I could break my mood, and I started with reading a very funny book while waiting for Sam to get off the bus.

Then I had a couple of conversations with people online who also helped fight the icky stuff.

Then, I made a point of apologizing to San's mother.

Then, while driving home, I put in a CD of christian music, and after listening a while, I sang along, until like a dam bursting, I wept openly, and I felt much better.

Thank you for to all the people who sent a message of support.

Fighting Back

I hope this comment gets through. My batting average with posting messages here is terrible lately.

I'm glad you could cope with and even turn that black mood around, Dorothy. I had a similar freak out last week after a confrontation with my mother, and it left me in a dark mood of my own (my mom's guilt-fu is strong), until Diana talked me down. And you know, the next day, things got better.

Anyway, I'm glad you figured it out. And like several people said, Sam's a kid, and stuff like this will happen. Yes, a perfect parent would stay on top of everything, at all times. But sadly, there are no perfect parents. Just people trying to do the job and not screw up too badly. Shit's gonna happen sometimes. We just have to deal. It's hard to deal when your brain short circuits, but you found a way to hit your reset button. I knew you could. :)
