Could someone help me with Dropbox?

OK, I know I asked about this befor, I think. The thing is that I sometimes have problems keeping my thoughts straight, so perhaps I would not remember if someone had helped me, perhaps.

So, my son has a Dropbox account and wants me to post some of my pictures into his drop box in a directory he has called "Dad". Yes, OK it is demeaning to do that but at this point I simply do not care.

So, I got together about 50 pictures from my life, leaving the ones with me dancing on the bar half naked out, um because there simply aren't any, full stop. The ones I do have are suitable for church and he would have a hard time doing anything to me that has not already happened.

Doubtlessly, he believes himself to be magnanamous in his treatment of me.

So, the issue with my simply pasting my pictures to his "Dad" directory is that I believe I need to sign in with his user name and password to do so, because I most certainly can not post them now.

So, does my conclusion about the Dropbox difficulties seem correct, or am I simply thinking like a bimbo and not doing it correctly?

Depends

How did he set it up? He can share dropbox folders with you so you sign in as yourself, or even mark them public so anyone can post there.

I've only installed Dropbox

I've only installed Dropbox recently to share family photos and not yet used it in practice but I think you have to create a Dropbox account. Your son then shares the folder with your email address allowing you to add the photos to the shared file. As I say, it's an 'I think' because my sister hasn't yet set her account up yet.

dropped the box

when you install the dropbox client software, a folder on your harddrive is created. it has the confusing name "dropbox".
to share you pictures, create a subfolder there, name it "dad" and share it with your son's account. after that is done, whenever you drop files into that folder (like pictures), they get automatically uploaded to your son's dropbox folder.
