Well, after being one of the most prolific writers on here for the last four and a half years, I am facing the real possibility that my ideas cupboard is growing close to bare. Maybe all my brainpower is wrapped in my autobiography, but its possible that outside of a few crumbs that I might be able to bring to life, my days as a writer are numbered ...

If that occurs, I want my friends to know I will continue to contribute in other ways. I will comment and encourage other authors, and I will keep my blog going with whatever is happening in my life.

I have been incredibly blessed, and I will continue to try and share that blessings with as many people as I can.

Huggles, all.

Oh no!

Thankfully, ideas have never been the problem for me. I've got more ideas than I care to think about. I've got a scrivener project called snippets that I keep story ideas in.

Here's an idea. Challenge yourself. Write in a genre that you wouldn't normally try. Or, just google story idea generator and play with those.

Your voice comes through so well in your writing. Please don't lose that.

~And so it goes...

We Have Also Been Blessed

I'm sure you'll continue to make many valuable contributions to this site, no matter which form they take.

Just remember that this writing lark is an unpredictable bird. You never know when she's going to break into song, or how long the melody will last. Or if she flies away, just when she might return to brighten the morning with her lilting lyricism.

Ban nothing. Question everything.

I want you to know

I would miss you a lot if you would stop being here. There are so many reasons tour Idea wheel could be gummed up so so stress in taking your time to come up with a new story, or continuing an old one.

It took me an entire year to write my next installment to Shift Happens, I just had to live through some life molding situations, and have a mess of cleaned off my plate before the the story came to geather as I wanted to.

Relax enjoy and contribute where and how you can.

Don't be downhearted

It happens to most of us from time to time.

Back last Spring I looked at a lot of pieces that I'd started but somehow I lost the plot and put them aside. I made the decision to go through them all and if they were salvagable then I'd try to complete them and post them for others to read.

I've nearly posted all of them here. In the time since I started on my back-catalogue I've had a few new ideas that I've also finished and posted.

Now I'm looking for the next blockbuster of a story. One that will take me a long time to write and be in many parts. I thought I'd found it but hey-ho, I feel more comfortable with it as a single pices.

Don't give up. Take a break and recharge the ideas factory. I'm sure that the inspiration will return eventually but until it does please don't worry about it. That will only make it worse.

In the words of John Cleese pictured sitting naked behind a desk that is in the sea,
"And not for something completely different".
Do something unusual, different, not of the norm. Inspiration will come of that I am sure.
