weird hit count on an old story

Yesterday, I was looking at my stories, and found a super-high hit count on an old piece "Hit the brick wall running". Usually, an old piece will have maybe a max of 10 hits, but yesterday, it had over 100. Weird.

And the hits just keep on comin!

This happens to me too. Something to do with bots or maybe droids, Erin explained it to me but I forgot.
It happened to me once before, an unremarkable christmas song parody of mine was suddenly impossibly popular in the middle of summer. It creeped me out so I deleted the post. Currently my QUINTESSENCE OF DUST is getting over a hundred a day, but it's about my best story so I'll take it as good taste on the part of the internet gremlins. Now if some random cyber-geistie started generating comments ("gggkdfj - hello! mebot liking story is") that would be something...
