Four years and eighteen hours ago, it said when I logged on this morning.

Maker! Has it really been that long?

I look back at the stories I have posted here and realise how much I have changed. I have a somewhat different perspective to that I had all those years ago. My writing is (I think) more confident and less pressured by my own history. I seem to have picked up a bad habit of making my tales too detailed, though...

Of course, I lurked here some time before I decided to join as an author. What I found was a place that had like-minded souls who made me feel comfortable. I came home.

Thank you, Big Closet. I know I haven't been one of your more demanding readers or one or your more productive authors but I hope I've added a little something to the mix of tales you provide a home for.

I've enjoyed your growth too

Being an engineering sort, I like detail. It also depends on whether one likes page turners or not. I especially look forward to seeing what a Palarand royal wedding is like :).

I am not an author and appreciate all the abilities a good author brings to a tale.

I've read main stream stories and I am always amazed at the level of detail a professional writer can pack into a novel. I recently started nibbling at a Mevada Barr mystery novel and she really immerses a reader into her Anna Pigeon's world.

Reading material

From your writings, I suspect we've read a lot of the same books. After all, we write what we want to read. :) I've very much enjoyed your works and am always looking for more.

I love your writing

Your stories are really entertaining. And I very much like the way you handle the who sex change arena, putting plenty of other material in the story so it does not dominate the tale. And it is done in a very believable way.

Thank you

Gwendolyn

As you know ....

... I and Di are fans and we are so damned glad to have had the opportunity to sample your wares, so as to speak. Authors like yourself are what keeps this community so vibrant.

And stop writing blogs - a whole army of addicts are waiting desperately for number 87 and onwards ....

*grin*

Thanks

Julia

Do you feel like you're in a play?
