"The Afterlife"

The operation was a complete clusterfuck, a few members were dead and I was captured. I knew I was very likely to die being
tortured and was ready for that. The pain...oh dear God, my entire body felt on fire after being "comfortably" numb after
being shocked multiple times. First electricity, then being set on fire. I died soon enough after but proudly never outed
any of my team.
I figured that was the end and then I woke up in a hospital. Shocked I just sat there for a minute flabbergasted. I was
trained for so many things but never expected this. A man walked in and told me "Welcome to death and the Schrodinger
Project." My eyebrows raised..."We needed someone of your caliber on the other side." I quirked an eyebrow.
"The Schrodinger Project is as you think it sounds, in one reality you died in another you lived but the truth of the matter
is you are neither. This was not a training exercise but an actual operation though we plugged the box in and keyed on you.
I'm sorry about your team that died, that was never meant to happen but given the danger of the operation we figured you
might be captured and your torture and death would ensue.
This was necessary as being in this flux state allows you to operate outside time itself from now on. We wouldn't ask but a severe threat occurs beyond the normal scale that any of us can understand. You are no longer under the jurisdiction of Homeland Security but an entirely separate branch of government.
We deal with threats related to Quantum fluctuations that are used as weapons, much like unleashing a Bioweapon this can have
Catastrophic unforeseen side effects even to the acting party. In case you are wondering, the name of our organization is Tenet."
