I cast my mind back to the days events and my mum’s funeral. She was with dad now, side by side in the cemetery. I felt a bit numb about things at the moment, not willing to think too much of the future or what might happen to me...

‘Why are you crying, are you hurting?’

She looked at me and sniffed a bit. Her face was red and her eyes were puffy. Normally, I would have said she was quite pretty, with her long dark hair and a pleasant face...
