Writers block, life in general as well as a lack of a muse has contributed to the sharp drop of stories. I hope that this story meets with those expectations that many who like my stories have had in the past; hopefully it will transport them into a place and time that they will remember fondly. Thank you, Anon Allsop
Let it Rain By Anon Allsop
A shrill whistle woke the young woman. She raised her head up from the crook of her arm and took in her surroundings. The first thin light of dawn was breaking the horizon, golden rays of sunshine creating a strange glow within the car. The gentle rocking and steady rhythmic clacking of the train reminded her of where she was.

The idea for this story came from a short, inspirational email that was shared with me a few years ago. I thought the message behind it was quite lovely and wanted to somehow turn it into a story to share with everyone. It took almost two years for a story to develop where I could use it in a way to honor the beauty it was written in. If I knew of the original author, I would like to include them...but as with much that is passed around in cyberspace, they are unknown. All I can do is say, thank you for the inspiration...I only hope my story does justice to your beautiful, and uplifting message.
“Alex. It’s just one night. No one will ever know but us. Please, I’m begging you, do this for me?”
I didn’t say yes. I didn’t say no. I didn’t nod or shake my head. I just let Lara slip my athletic socks off my feet and, one after the other, slide the high-heeled shoes into place.

Miao Ling Grace and Siobhan Llewellyn are seemingly destined to be together. The pair learn later that Grace's brother Cretein and a girl he meets in college, Justine MacNamara, are integral to that destiny in ways that defy mere coincidence.
Though my first installment is easily acceptable to general audiences, later installments will have sections meant for adults only. That is to say: At times, this story is not safe for work and truly not acceptable reading for those under 18.
Please enjoy my first story on Big Closet and feel free to leave comments of constructive criticism. I won't cry in my tea over some good advice. 8)
Here's another Whateley fanfic that's been sitting around while I poke and prod at it, there's more to this one but I already have a chapter or two partitioned off, so here's the first one!

The final installment of Catburglar. Kelly takes care of loose ends, Ned comes to terms with his forthcoming death of personality and Mike lets the nanites loose on Kelly.
Contains foreshadowing for an Allie story that is forthcoming this week which in turn is foreshadowing for the Unplanned Adventures.

Soaring With Eagles, Part 1, Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6
By Portia Bennett
Introduction: From the seven stories preceding this one in the California Saga we know quite a bit about the O'Donnell family, the Essegians and all of their friends (and enemies). One person has been missing in these stories. Well not exactly missing; however, his story has been pretty much overlooked, not that it should have been. What do we know about Matthew (Matt) O'Donnell? We know that he is the youngest son of Mike and Jo O'Donnell. We know that he married the youngest daughter of George and Mindy Essegian. And we know from something his father said shortly after the death of his mother that he was a hero.
Well, how did Matt O'Donnell become a hero? This is that story. This is also a story about two childhood friends who dreamed of going to the Air Force Academy, becoming fighter pilots, and enjoying all the adventures that fighter pilots are known to have. There is a problem though, and if that problem ever becomes known, one of the friend's dreams of flying in the Air Force will come crashing to earth.
This story roughly parallels The Redhead and the PM as far as the time frame is concerned. Real life is a slow process for most of us, and this story is no exception. Yes, someone transitions, but it doesn't happen overnight. This is a love story. One couple knew about their love early on. The first few chapters explore how that love developed and grew. As for the other couple, their love remains hidden. One party has known about it for a long time. As far as the other party is concerned - well, I guess you're just going to have to read the story to find out.
This story is dedicated to the memories of Sgt. John L. Levitow, USAF, Medal of Honor recipient whose actions inspired part of this story, all the other Medals of Honor recipients who gave so much, and 1Lt Stephen Craig Moreland whose C-130 was shot down in Kham Duc Special Forces Camp (A-105), Quang, South Viet Nam on May 12, 1968 while attempting to rescue embattled soldiers. His remains and those of his fellow crew members were not recovered for nearly 30 years. Steve was a classmate of mine in junior and senior high school.
This story is also dedicated to Holly Hart whose proofing and editorial skills definitely helped me be a better writer. I know I learned quite a bit from her over these last few years, and I'm pretty sure she helped me become a better writer. Thank you, Holly
The other novels in this story in the order they were written are: The Heart of the Beholder, The Narragansett Fork, Musetta's Waltz, Who is Sylvia, Five Love Stories en Brochette, The Redhead and the PM, and St. George and the Dragon.

Fantoccini’s Feline
By Paul Calhoun
A certain someone mentioned that I don't do sweet/sentimental/positive sex scenes. Simple answer to that: it's usually my clients who want the hardcore stuff and I like to go the discreet path in my more upbeat work. However, I figured Kelly and Reg getting together was a really special occasion, so enjoy some sex scenes in which everyone is happy, knows who the partner is and is having a blast.
Kelly gets the Blue Fairy Treatment and we have spoilers/foreshadowing for the Allie series.

"Who gives this woman away to be married to this man?" asked the minister, shaking Christina out of her admiration of Richard.
"I do," Alek answered. He looked at Christina who returned his gaze. He knew that his niece was a modern woman, and she didn't look upon the ceremony the same way that he did. For Christina, this was an opportunity to wear a pretty dress in front of the whole town and live out the fantasy wedding that she'd been dreaming of. For Alek, the traditional implication of the ceremony was all too clear. He was giving his precious child away to the care of another man, and he knew that things would never be the same again.

"Hey Andrei," Steph said with a poorly veiled sense of trepidation. "I got a major 411. Ollie heard through the grapevine that the cops found Christina's car last night. They had it towed to the lot at public services."
"They found her?" he said in disbelief. Andrei did not notice that the rest of the family, including the large German Shepherd that was lurking behind the couch, took notice.
"No," Steph answered. "They just found the car. No Christina."

It was the end of the summer, which was one of the best times on the mountain. The air was still warm enough that no one needed to wear a coat and there were still a few weeks of life left in the world before the chill set in and all the trees that weren’t evergreens started to lose their leaves. To Christina, it felt as though she were walking through an insubstantial world of dust. While everyone else in town was holding on to the last vibrant breath of summer, Christina felt the onset of fall on every inch of her skin.

Wigging Out
By Paul Calhoun
A man finds a female disguise and then forgets to take it off before he answers the door.
A test of a couple of masking elements I wanted to try out. First the mask itself which is unlike those I usually use and also an exploration of what happens when the target boyfriend knows from almost the very beginning who the female really is.

"I can't believe you," Christina said as she shook her head. "You're so disgusted that you went through all this just to make sure no one in Oak Grove found out about me."
"Is that what you really think?" Richard said with a mix of hurt and anger.
"Why else, then?"
"If I was so ashamed, do you really think I would have told all of my business partners?" he shot back. "Why do you think I cashed in every last favor I had with them to convince them to keep up this charade against their best instincts?"
Christina shook her head. She didn't want to listen to a word he was saying. She eventually asked, "Why?"

The Catburglar Who Came in From the Cold
By Paul Calhoun
Kelly spends Christmas with Reg's family and Reg tells Kelly what he's known for awhile now. Also, Kelly continues to adjust to life as a female with a loving family. A few scenes that don't advance the plot added because I thought they added character.

"Uncle Alek?" Christina pleaded. "Where are we? What happened to me?" Her thoughts, which had been sluggish and unfocused, were now racing in her mind as they processed the darkness and the intense pain.
Alek placed his hand on his niece's head and stroked her hair. "Tina," he said softly. "Tina," he repeated, this time commanding the girl's attention. "You are in the hospital. You have had an accident." Alek was fairly certain that "accident" was not the correct term, but that wasn't important right now. "You had an accident but you will be alright."
Christina nodded slowly. She felt completely disoriented and untethered to the world except for the feeling of her uncle's hand on her head. "It hurts," she winced.
"I know Sweetheart," Alek said as he reached for a plastic bulb hanging from a wire on the wall. He felt the button on its tip and pressed it, summoning the nurse.

Foxy Catburglar
By Paul Calhoun
I was going to do the discovery, but I like to give my characters a vacation every so often, so here's some gratuitous fursuiting and romance. As if there's such a thing.
I've had this idea kicking around ever since I read a most excellent story about a girlfriend pranking her boyfriend by feigning injury and when he runs out to the car, she does a quick change into a werewolf costume and chases him around. Go read it, it's great: http://falconess22.deviantart.com/art/An-Unexpected-Revelati...

On the way back to Nina's room, Christina felt a mechanical rumble from the back pocket of her jeans. She took out her cell phone and saw that Richard was calling. She immediately froze, feeling a slight tightness in her chest. She was transfixed by the name on the tiny screen and was unable to move her fingers on the device before the call went to voice mail. Christina waited for the notification that indicated there was a new voice message, but it never came. Instead, there was a second rumble indicating that she'd just received a text message. She felt her stomach sink and it was though she'd temporarily lost her ability to differentiate up from down. She forced herself to read the message.

“I really love you,” she repeated. “I’ve never felt this way about … anyone. Ever. Lately, when I’m not with you it feels like … I dunno. It’s like everything is a commercial, and the movie doesn’t start again until you’re there.”
Richard said “I feel the same way,” as he snuggled his date.
“Really?”
“Yes,” he said tenderly. “You’ve turned my whole world upside down and now I find I can’t go back to living right side up.”
“What if,” Christina said as she watched the stars poke holes in the night, “we couldn’t be together? Would you be sorry?..."
Being Christina Chase Chapter 48 - The Anniversary
The nurse took the CNA’s hand. “It’s basically a big, strong magnet,” she said. “It will stop the defibrillator from shocking him and restarting his heart.”
Aubrey felt her chest grow numb, and her arms and legs suddenly chilled. “Why the hell does he need something like that?” she whispered almost inaudibly.
"Fish! God, no! Not that, not again! Please don't! What will your wife think?"
"Hell, Honey. I'm filming this. This gets my own rocks off," laughed Mamie.
