One of my favorite things is to check the "Stories Posted on This Date in Fictionmania History" link each day in hopes of seeing some old friend I have not read in a while or perhaps meet a new story/author that I've not encountered before.

For those wondering what has happened to "Playing her way 2", the answer is i'm busy writing.

Those of you following the story will realise the is a meeting between Emily and her aunt/uncle that is missing. I am writing this meeting as a flashback that happens after the guests have left on Christmas day.

I have the Christmas day chapters written, but I'm holding off posting these until I have the flashback sorted, so that I can fix details in the Christmas day chapters if I start to contridict myself. I don't want to write myself into a corner.

As I was writing some Gaby yesterday (6 new chapters in 4 days writing!) that a lot of readers, especially newer arrivals here may be unaware of something important.

What I hear you ask? Well back in the distant past the Gaby series had a few very active fans, several of which went as far as writing fan fiction, the bulk of which can be found on the GMS (Gaby Mini Site) pages of Maddybell.com.

So a couple of things - firstly, would people be interested in reading some of those tales here at BC? Secondly, have any of the authors got any issues with them being posted here?

Does anyone happen to have the audiobook for this, because it has been discontinued by the publisher and I am having a hard time finding it. I started to listen to what I have when I realized how much is missing and its driving me crazy, that I also can't find it online. Thanks.

Some readers may notice a slight similarity between my latest story and a more famous book, and to help cement that idea, I planted some "Easter egg" style hints throughout the story.

Someone (Thanks, Terry!) pointed out that some of my stories need a caution. I added it to those that I could remember needing it.

Ok here's the first 3 chapters. It's not scifi, so it may very well not be your cup of tea. And if it isn't or it's just plain awful just say so. I won't take it personally.

I don't know how you're supposed to ask a stranger to commit at least a year of their life to helping you write a novel, for free. That's how I did it. I don't know if this is a good way to go about it, all I can say is this is how I asked Holly Hart, and for some reason she said yes.

Author's Commentary on Somewhere Else Entirely: Chapters 15 to 18

I'm now into the meat of the story (or so I innocently believed, anyway) and I am working my way through the preliminaries before the essential action takes place - the as yet completely undetermined journey to the north, which will resolve everything.

Well, it did and it didn't, but that is for another commentary. For now, Garia is still establishing her place in the palace structure.

I have a heavy cold with stupid hacking cough, which is really hacking me off. Going to have an early night if I can persuade Whizz to read me a bed time story.

I do not have talent to write stories as do many here, so I am thankful for all who give of their spirit to share words to read.

I've been working diligently on my collection of MORFS stories. I've updated and reformatted the entire crop, and added a few. I'm going to repost the ones that I have updated, and start on posting the new ones.

If you see any errors, please let me know. A PM is fine for little things, and a public comment is fine for boners that will be educational to other authors (like if I use "its" instead of "it's.")

A belated Christmas gift to you all, I have just posted the first chapter of "Playing her way 2".

I haven't been doing much writing lately. I've had an idea for a story about a prank involving a secret Santa gift for quite a while, and I thought I would write it up in time for Christmas. Ideally posting the chapters on the days corresponding to the events.

As the year draws to a close the temperature here is plummeting! What at first glance looked like a good layer of snow this morning was actually a heavy frost that has persisted all day - even in the city centre!

Things are a bit behind this week but the latest chapter of Gaby 14 can be found here today.

Looking forward to 2017 - I think!

I had a few moments and downloaded a few books from Amazon.

It was a frustrating experience. Only one of the about dozen TG books I bought had a BC author. Her book was excellent. The others ranged from poor to really poor.

Of all the satiric poems that point out the limitations of spell check software (and volunteer editors, for that matter), this one is the best I’ve seen. Sum tang two reed four yore con sit ration bee four righting Amy sing to pub lash.

There will be a delay on the next part of Shadowsblade.

Like it says, I go a little delayed and I am still writing it.

So we all have to wait to see how, I mess with this Drow next!

Hey all... just a few updates.

One, my trip to Standing Rock was amazing. I ended up in the National Leadership of Veterans Stand for Standing Rock. We ended up having 4.5k veterans show up in North Dakota to protect the Water Protectors. It was very cool. I was also very happy to spot a large number of Trans veterans among the group. The whole thing made me feel so proud.

Good news! I am going to be writing a series of stories, a little under twenty chapters, from what I can tell right now. The story, titled "Kayleigh's Story," is one I am very excited about. It will deal with themes of love, revenge, new starts, friendship, and modern life. I will ideally be releasing a new chapter every Sunday at 10 PM, starting January 8th. In the meantime, check out some of my new stories, including Christmas-themed "All Was Well" and "The Good Bridesmaids," my personal favorite of the tales I've written so far.

I managed to remove the “PDF Complete” banners from the PDF file that contains this story, and am posting it here as an attachment. I hope nobody minds, as I did not have a way to send this file to the author.

EDIT: To those who find their way here from the blogs page, or from the recent blogs list on the front page: Warm Hearted’s first story was posted as a PDF attachment, which was made by an unregistered PDF maker that added “nag” banners to the PDF it made. I was able to remove the banners, and attached the resulting PDF file to a blog entry, which I posted to Warm Hearted’s author’s page.

Easter eggs are little bits of (alleged) humor snuck into a computer program. For example, in one early Microsoft product, going through a specific series of keystrokes produced a small on-screen caricature of Bill Gates who then used a squeegee to clear everything currently on the screen.
