State of Britain, or Britain in a state....

Today I cam across two pieces of news, the first about J K Rowling (anyone on this site who is still defending her.... how?), and covers her view of what a trans woman is.

"a man revelling in his misogynistic performance of what he thinks 'woman' means: narcissistic, shallow and exhibitionist".

The New Year Competition.

I have an entry written, peer reviewed, all ready to go.

Now do I publish day 1 and hope no one betters it, or revises theirs to compete, do I wait for the end and hope to trump the others, or slide it out in the middle, hoping to impress the judges but go under the other entrants radar....

Decisions decisions....

Christmas.

Christmas.

Christmas has always been a goodish time for me, decent ones as a kid, quiet, riotous or drunken ones as an adult. I like the time of year. Not the stress, the crowds or the harrying but the festiveness leading into the turning of the year.

This last year I have been climbing out of a deep pit (life, the universe and other things) back into living, and it is good’ish.

Plans for the future are being made, small ones and big target (but achievable) set.

Advice to Authors, being passed on

Advice for authors that I received and am passing on.

One of the best pieces I ever received was simple, a setting is not a plot.

It sounds odd, but it is true, you get an idea for a place, you detail it exquisitely, but people do not (generally) come out of the theatre quoting the scenery….

Yes knowing your background is important, knowing how a school is set up matters for a story set in a school, but unless you are very good, very weird or just odd (like me) the school is not the story, just the scenery.

my life so far, therapy in writing.

Reading a story here, that set me on trains of thought. The story had dark and light, but I identified with a bit I really do not like having identified with.

The idea of suicide by neglect. It rang true and hit home hard.

And a lot of the other issues about growing up and acceptance and self doubt etc.

So here is my story, not for enjoyment or sympathy but to see if I can put it into some semblance of order that makes sense to me. Some info will be relevant, some is just me hanging it into its place for me.

A Christmas Pantomime…..

For the whimsical, for the open minded, for fun and festive times.

Sydney was not a happy boy, He was 17, and alone at home where his Stepmother and Stepsisters had left him to clean up after their whirlwind of preparations for the Princess’s Grande Yule Ball. He of course didn’t get to go, mostly as the world seemed to ignore his existence at his stepmother’s behest.

On Subject matter.

A short rant.

I published a story that had plenty of Trans content, but also Female Domination, Bondage, BDSM, Slavery the whole 9 Fetish yards really. It had the caution warnings, then had more added because apparently people ignore the content warnings and read anyway.

It got comments of the ewww and not for here, and can you not write sweet gentle stories like wot we want?

Beware of unexpected post, part 2

The doorbell rang, you dived for it at full speed.

Stood there was a bike courier, anonymous in their black riders clothes and the full visored helmet, they thrust a rectangular parcel at you to check the address. You agreed it was for you, signed their clip board and rushed back into the room.

The seals were secure but a sharp knife and the box was soon open. Inside was a blue latex item as expected, but heavy, you unwrapped it and realised it was a waist cinching corset, the weight from the large amount of boning.

“Yes please, tea or white wine.”

Melissa looked at her and waggled her eyebrows, “aren’t you underage to be drinking….”

Gina looked affronted, “no I am….” And then tailed off as she looked down to remind herself how she was dressed, she blushed a little, and then grinned.

“Well you could always spank me for it….”

Melissa grinned back. “And of course, I should be spanked for subverting a minor….” And grinned broadly.

“One moment I have just the thing,” She added as she went into the kitchen.

Gina’s unexpected adventure Part 2.

Melissa sat on the sofa next to Gina and slid her hand into Gina’s, interlocking fingers. She could sense that Gina was running a whole gamut of emotions here, fear not being the least of them and she wanted to reassure her that she was safe.

“So,” she said, softly. “How did you meet Michael?”

Gina went to pull away but Melissa held her grasp, “please, just tell me.”

“It was at a fetish club. I had been a few times.”

“Like that?” Melissa looked her up and down and gestured at the school uniform.

Gina’s unexpected adventure.

Gina stood in front of the door nervously about to press the doorbell, why nervously, well, her attire was a little unusual. The short pleated skirt, the knee high socks, the 4”heeled MaryJane shoes, the white crisp shirt with a school tie, covered by a loose overcoat, were not the usual wear for a 25 year old man. Truth be told neither were the two pigtails, the read lippy and fingernails, and the brassiere with modest but definitely noticeable breasts.
