For God So Loved the World...

Little Rachel "Rae" Evans was a happy little girl. Her mother would say that when she laughed, she could make an entire room of people break out in smiles. All that changed when she was four and the laughter stopped. From then on, she withdrew into herself and hid from the world, convinced that no one, not even God, could ever truly love, or even understand her.

One Summer Sunday... Pt 1

Special thanks to Malady for his help in editing this!

This story is the sequel to One Sunday Morning, a piece I posted on 9/2/20. A couple of people expressed interest in what happened with Garnet’s friend Jill. I was rather curious about it as well. Thus this story started to take shape. For about a week, then sat on my hard drive for awhile. I decided I wanted to find out more about Jill, and started working on it again. Hope you enjoy!

A word of warning for those who might object. These stories have a definite Christian leaning.

One Summer Sunday – Sequel to One Sunday Morning

Garnet drove.

She was on her way to Joplin, Missouri, to pick up her friend, Jill.

They had worked together in Saint Louis, at a major hospital there, but when Jill came out as trans-gendered, she was abruptly let go by the administrator.

Grant drove.

He spent Christmas with his folks in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, but now he had to get back to his job in St. Louis, Missouri. He had plenty of time, as it was Friday, and he didn’t start work until Monday. He figured he could just enjoy the drive. He would go to Omaha, then drop down through Council Bluffs to Kansas City, then cross Missouri to St. Louis.

Alex

dnk-photo-woman in church-unsplash.jpg A note from Rosemary: This story is a story of a Christian trans-girl in the early '80s, and how she and her parents dealt with it. It is just that. A story. I am not trying to foist my beliefs upon anyone.

It is not autobiographical, but it's certainly how I wish things might have turned out for me. I can honestly say that I've never had a pastor like the one in this story, but it is very close right now, for which I am very grateful. Smile Face.png

Alex

Alex was a teenager. He was 16 years old, and still unsure what to do with himself.

In school, he had been the butt of everyone's jokes for so long that he said he had no feelings regarding it any more. But that simply wasn't true. Saying that, and actually feeling it were two completely different things.

My Story

david-brooke-martin-yJzurJ0IRh4-unsplash.jpg This is an accurate biography of myself, and gets into why I believe what I do as a Christian at the end. I know that this might offend some people, so I am saying it right here at the beginning. If this may offend you, I recommend that you read something else. If it won’t offend you, or you don’t think it will, You Have Been Warned!

The Hunter, Becomes The Hunted Part 8

Becky was making her daily report with Stanley and his team. She got the latest update about their case and what was going on with them. Stanley forwards her the file that had been put together by Camelot Network Solutions. She opens the encrypted file and starts going through the information.

“Holy crap!” Becky couldn't believe the information Terry and Mouse at MI6 had gathered.

Ignorance is No Excuse for Hating Someone Part 7

Bishop Henri Residence, Brooklyn, New York:
“What are we looking for, Hatter?” Shade looks over towards Aylin as they sneaked around inside Bishop’s Henri’s place.

Carla, himself and Aylin were sent by Anika to Bishop’s Henri’s place. He couldn’t believe they were searching a holy man’s place.

“Concealed vaults, ledgers, anything that ties Bishop Henri to the Hunter organization.” Carla was helping.

“We already know he is the one that ordered the hit against Mrs. Bounty’s family and associates.” Hatter tossed a bible she had flipped through.

Ignorance is No Excuse for Hating Someone Part 5

St. Richard of Salemo, Detroit, Michigan:
Bishop Henri looks at the report he received from his field commanders. The attack going on at the Bounty ranch wasn’t going their way.
According to the report, the ranch was heavily defended. It had a defense system that wasn’t on any of the blueprints or aerial photos they had managed to take of the place. On top of that, the Bounty family and their wolves were holding their own against their soldiers.

The Ten Plagues: The First Four

The ancient rabbis said that the ten plagues were plagues against the Egyptians and against their "gods." The plagues were also there also to teach humans something.

Here are the first four plagues in Exodus:

1. the river (Nile) turned into blood. (7:14-25)
a. the fish die
b. river becomes "foul"
c. included all water in Egypt including vessels to hold and drink
d. necromancers repeated the same "trick"
e. Pharaoh's heart was strong
f. lasted seven(7) days.
Human element: G-d told Moses had Aaron stretch out his staff

2. frogs on the land. (8:1-11)
